Live Action Samurai Jack Movie In The Works?
Immortals director Tarsem Singh' says that he would be very interested in adapting Genndy Tartakovsky's feudal samurai fantasy epic 'Samurai Jack. While I've never loved Singhs work I feel he might just be the man for the job when it comes to adapting a show with such a unique visual flair as Samurai Jack.
The directors project big project will be a will be a dark fantasy retelling of Snow white starring Thor himself as the Huntsman.

Bane Costume Reveal TDKR
You know sometimes I seriously forget I even have a blog, but you know what reminds me? Batman news & today we have a dozy.
Pictures from the set of Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises have been released and these pictures finally give us a look the movies long awaited villain Bane played by Tom Hardy.
As I've stated elsewhere I feel the mask is a little too Hannibal lector when it could easily be more Lucha Libre to fit with the charterers Latin back story & background. I like the idea of him wearing braces and other such protective gear but I think most people are going to flip their nerd shit over his coat in the same way they did about Jokers makeup in Dark Knight. I personally have no problem the coat especially seeing as early reports state a good chunk of the movie may take place during winter.
In the same picture Bane is also seen with what appears to be a group of heavily armed mercs whether they are on his side or not still is yet to be seen.
Regardless of what the new movie brings I doubt t it will be hard to top Banes last appearance on the big screen.

Heavy Rain To Leap Onto The Silver Screen
David Milch known for his work on HBO's Deadwood has apparently signed on to script the big screen adaptation of Quantic Dreams' genre bending title Heavy Rain. While video game movies certainly don't have the best track record around color me interested in a movie. Heavy Rain was a video game much touted for its cinematic flare and mature and inventive story telling, perhaps these factors will make this adaption a perfect fit. While no real hard news has been announced you can bet I will be following this project very closely.
For those not in the know Heavy Rain tells the story of
four protagonists involved with the mystery of the Origami Killer, a serial killer who uses extended periods of rainfall to drown his victims. Ethan Mars is a father who is trying to save his son from being the next victim, while investigative journalist Madison Paige, FBI profiler Norman Jayden, and private detective Scott Shelby are each trying to track down clues to the Origami Killer's identity.
